Want to be part of the action of the World Championships? Volunteer! It will take 600+ volunteers to ensure a successful event this year. We need you! Depending on your availability and interests, there are various positions that we will need to fill. Check out the FAQ for information about the types of volunteer positions.

Volunteer sign-ups are now open! We will need 800+ volunteers over the week of race-related activities and the races themselves. No matter your time or interest, there is a spot for you! North Alabama’s fabric is made of people who give their time, treasure and talent—we hope you’ll join us in this global event!
Overview of volunteer tasks
We have numerous volunteer positions that will need to be filled. Volunteers need to be 16 and older.
Here are some of the positions you can expect to see:
Course Marshal
Anti-Doping Chaperone
Transportation Facilitator
Credential Monitor
Other Duties
Athlete Food Service: Dish out the good stuff as directed by the catering staff.
Fan Engagement: Cheerlead to keep spectators encouraging the racers.
Hospitality and Registration: The face of welcome and information for teams and VIPs.
Production and Event Assistance: Strong arms & backs for set-up and tear-down.
Sector Captain: Keystone people -- these experienced volunteers support Course Marshals.
