Road Closures
The 2026 UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships will be in Huntsville September 4-7. Please take note of the road closures below -- these will start on Tuesday, Sept. 1 and grow as we get closer to race weekend. Explorer Boulevard is the main race ring and will be closed for the majority of race weekend.

Tuesday, Sept. 1 through Tues, Sept. 8
West side of Explorer Blvd. southbound between Farrow Rd. and Moquin Rd. only
Thurs, Sept. 3: Official Training Day
4 p.m. roads close
5 to 7 p.m. Training session on individual time trial course
7 p.m. Roads re-open
Friday, Sept. 4
10 a.m. Roads close - Explorer Blvd. will be closed most of the race weekend because it is the main race ring.
The following roads will stay closed for the duration of the race weekend at the Explorer Blvd entrances only: Jan Davis, Voyager, Odyssey, Discovery, Enterprise, Pegasus and Bob Heath. These roads will remain closed at the Explorer Blvd entrances only until September 7 at 8:30 pm.
Explorer Blvd and the following roads with entrances onto Explorer: Moquin, Bradford and Farrow, will close AND re-open each day on the following schedule:
Friday, September 4
10 a.m. Roads close
5 p.m. Roads re-open
Saturday, September 5
7 a.m. Roads close
6 p.m. Roads re-open
Sunday, September 6
6 a.m. Roads close
8 p.m. Roads re-open
Monday, September 7
5 a.m. Roads close
8:30 p.m. Roads re-open
